Mathieu Baert
PartnerMathieu BAERT works as a Partner at Everest, specializing in sports law. He holds a master’s degree in Criminology (2013), a master’s degree in Law (2015), and a master’s degree in Business Economics (2017).
Mathieu Baert was appointed as an academic consultant for crime & sports at Ghent University on June 1, 2020.
In 2021, Mathieu Baert was recognized by the legal 500 as a “Rising Star,” specifically referring to his expertise in sports-related crime:

Mathieu BAERT is the author of scientific literature on doping and recently led a debate for Transparency International titled “Corruption in sports: What factors increase the risk for corruption in international sports federations”. Mathieu BAERT is also a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Flemish Judo Federation.
Mathieu BAERT also has a competitive background as a judoka and cyclist, having been active both domestically and internationally.
